Hybrid Personal Training Packages: 4 Structures With Real Prices
Hybrid personal training packages bundle a set number of in-person sessions with app coaching into one monthly price. Four structures cover most needs: online only, online plus one session a month, a session every two weeks, and a weekly session. Worked at a £60 session rate, they come to about £85 to £390 a month.

- Every package is the same sum: sessions per month times your session rate, plus a coaching layer for the app, check-ins and messages.
- The coaching layer is the part that makes it hybrid. Worked here at £85 to £130 a month, or $110 to $160, or €95 to €140.
- The prices below are worked examples from one stated session rate. They are not survey data. Replace the rate with yours.
- Sell the package as one monthly membership, and let the client change the session frequency instead of dropping the app.
This is a pricing deep dive from our hybrid personal training guide. The guide shows three tiers. Here are four structures, with the arithmetic shown, so you can rebuild each one at your own rate.
How do you price a hybrid package?
Use one formula for every package: sessions per month x your session rate + a coaching layer. A month is 4.3 weeks, so a weekly session is 4.3 sessions and a session every two weeks is about 2.15.
The coaching layer pays for what happens between sessions: the programme in the app, the weekly check-in and reply, and messages. In the pillar guide we value it at a third to a half of one session rate per week. At a £60 session that is £20 to £30 a week, or £86 to £129 a month. We round it to £85 to £130.
All examples use a session rate of £60, $75 or €65. These are worked examples, not a market survey. Your rate will differ by city, experience and gym costs. If you are not sure what to charge per session, start with the personal trainer rate calculator, then come back and swap your number in.
- Session rate: £60 / $75 / €65
- Coaching layer: £85 to £130 / $110 to $160 / €95 to €140 a month
- Weeks per month: 4.3
What are the four hybrid package structures?
They differ in one thing: how many hours you spend in the room. Everything else, the app, the check-in and the messages, is the same. Here they are at a glance, in pounds.

Every figure is the formula above at a £60, $75 or €65 session rate, rounded to £5, $5 or €5. One exception: the low end of the weekly package is rounded down to the clean membership price the pillar guide uses, £320, $400 and €360. The Australian dollar column is in the pillar guide.
What does an online only package cost?
It is the coaching layer and nothing else: £85 to £130, $110 to $160 or €95 to €140. There is no session to charge for, so the whole price is the app, the check-ins and your replies.
This is the cheapest way in for a client. It only pays well for you if you keep replies quick and the workload per client small. It suits people who live too far away to train with you in person. It is also the package where you compete most on price, so keep it clearly cheaper than anything with a session in it.
What does online plus with one session a month cost?
One session at £60 plus the coaching layer of £85 to £130 gives £145 to £190. In dollars that is 1 x $75 + $110 to $160, so $185 to $235. In euros, 1 x €65 + €95 to €140 gives €160 to €205. The pillar guide quotes this tier at £150, $190 and €170, which sit inside these ranges.
The monthly session has one job: a technique and progress check. It stops the app from feeling anonymous. It fits clients who are confident in the gym but want someone to look at their form and reset the plan. In the pillar guide this is the entry tier.
What does a biweekly hybrid package cost?
A session every two weeks is 2.15 sessions a month. At £60 that is £129, plus the coaching layer, so £214 to £259. In dollars it is $161.25 plus $110 to $160, so $271 to $321. In euros it is €139.75 plus €95 to €140, so €235 to €280. Rounded: £215 to £260, $270 to $320 and €235 to €280. The pillar guide quotes £230 for this package, which falls inside the range.
This is the step down from weekly for a client who wants to spend less but keep you in the room. The session is where you test top sets and decide progressions. The app covers the other training days.
What does a weekly hybrid package cost?
A weekly session is 4.3 sessions a month. At £60 that is £258, plus £85 to £130 for the coaching layer, which is £343 to £388. In dollars the plain sum is $432.50 to $482.50, and in euros it is €374.50 to €419.50. We quote £320 to £390, $400 to $480 and €360 to €420. The low end matches the pillar guide, which rounds to a clean membership number that reads well next to a gym membership plus a couple of sessions. If you prefer the full sum, charge £345 or more.
This is the core hybrid package and the one to recommend, for people who want you in the room every week. It is also where you can add what the lower packages leave out: a monthly reassessment, nutrition targets and habit tracking. If a client wants two sessions a week, price that as its own higher tier, which the pillar guide calls Hybrid intensive, rather than stacking more on this one.
Which package structures should you actually offer?
Offer three, not four. Two or three choices are easy to compare. Four starts to feel like a menu. The pillar guide uses Online plus as the entry point, Hybrid weekly as the one you recommend, and two sessions a week as the premium option. Keep Online only and Hybrid biweekly as custom quotes for clients who ask for less.
- Pick one default. Mark the package you want most clients to choose and describe it first.
- Change frequency, not structure. A client who wants less cost moves from weekly to biweekly. They keep the app.
- Round to a clean number. £230 reads better than £227. Clients compare it with a gym membership plus a couple of sessions.
- Do not sell sessions plus an app add-on. An add-on is easy to drop. A membership is not.
Check what you promise on paper as well. Response times, cancellations and what happens to a missed session all belong in a hybrid personal training contract, so the package means the same thing to you and the client.
Then set the packages up so billing runs without you. In Scraler, each package is a subscription plan with its own monthly price, billed automatically through your Stripe account until the client cancels. For one-off extras, such as a single assessment, you send a payment request instead.
Connect Stripe, set a monthly price per package, and Scraler bills each client subscription for you. You can also send one-off payment requests and track your revenue in one place.
See the finance managerHow do you introduce packages to existing clients?
Do it gradually. Offer the package as a way to keep the session they already have and add the app on top. Our guide on how to transition clients to online training covers the order of steps, so nobody feels the change as a price rise.
Take your time on the first month. Quote each client the package that matches the sessions they already book, show them the monthly total next to what they pay now, and let them choose.
Frequently asked questions
- What are hybrid personal training packages?
- They are monthly memberships that bundle a set number of in-person sessions with app coaching, such as a programme, weekly check-ins and messaging. The client pays one price instead of paying per session.
- How much do online personal training packages cost?
- Using the formula in this post, an online only package at a £60 session rate comes to about £85 to £130 a month, or $110 to $160 and €95 to €140. These are worked examples, not survey data. Your price depends on your own rate and what you include.
- How do I price hybrid training if my session rate is different?
- Multiply your session rate by the sessions in the package, then add a coaching layer of about a third to a half of one session rate per week. Use 4.3 weeks per month. The personal trainer rate calculator helps you set the session rate first.
- Should hybrid packages be cheaper than in-person sessions?
- Not per session. Each package costs more than its in-person sessions alone, because the app, check-ins and messages are paid work. It costs less than training fully in person: a client who trains three times a week pays £320 for the weekly package instead of about £774 for three sessions a week at £60, because the app covers the other two days.
- Should I charge monthly or per session for a hybrid package?
- Monthly. A single recurring price makes the product coaching rather than hours, and a cancelled session becomes a scheduling issue instead of a refund. In Scraler, a monthly package is a subscription plan that bills the client automatically.
- How many packages should I offer?
- Two or three. One entry package, one you recommend and one premium option is enough. Handle in-between requests as custom quotes.
