How do these Hevy Coach alternatives compare at 50 clients?

Prices checked on each company's own pricing page on 28 September 2026; they change, so confirm before you buy. Figures are monthly billing unless stated otherwise, compared at 50 clients since it sits on a tier boundary for most of these apps, including Hevy Coach's own $90/month 26 to 50 client tier.

Why do coaches look for a Hevy Coach alternative?

Hevy Coach earns its following among strength coaches. Its pricing is unusually transparent, every tier ships the identical feature set, and clients log in the consumer Hevy app with Hevy Pro included free. Coaches who look elsewhere are usually reacting to what it does not list, not to the product itself.

A 22 September 2026 capture of the Hevy Coach pricing page; prices were unchanged on 28 September.
  • No nutrition or macro tracking feature listed on its official pages. Hevy Coach is a workouts-and-progress product; a coach who also programmes meals or tracks macros needs a separate tool.
  • No client billing feature listed. Clients pay nothing to Hevy Coach, and coach subscriptions themselves run through Paddle. Billing clients means a separate invoicing or payments tool.
  • No white-label app or own store listing found, on any of its nine tiers. Clients use the Hevy app itself; you can set a team name and logo, but no higher tier gives you your own app, unlike Trainerize, TrueCoach or Kahunas.
  • Monthly billing only. Every alternative below discounts for paying annually; Hevy Coach's pricing page has no annual toggle at all.

None of that makes Hevy Coach a bad choice for the coach it suits. It means the right alternative depends on whether nutrition, payments or a branded app is the gap that actually costs you clients or time.

TrueCoach: nutrition and a branded app built in, for the same audience

Cheapest paid plan
$29.98/mo (Starter, 5 clients)
Clients included
5
Payments
5% flat (invoice total)
Branded app
Included from Standard
A 22 September 2026 capture of the TrueCoach pricing page, monthly view.

TrueCoach targets nearly the same coach Hevy Coach does: strength, bodybuilding, CrossFit and physical therapy coaching, built around a drag-and-drop workout builder and a 3,000-plus exercise video library. Where it pulls ahead is what Hevy Coach does not list: meal plans through its Documents feature with a MyFitnessPal integration, and a branded app included from the second tier.

TrueCoach Payments takes a flat 5 percent of every invoice including tax, and only works for coaches based in the US, UK, Canada or Australia. Above 50 clients it moves to bespoke support pricing rather than a published tier, unlike Hevy Coach's clear ladder all the way to 1,000. See TrueCoach pricing for the annual figures, TrueCoach vs Trainerize for a direct comparison, or the wider TrueCoach alternatives list.

Cons
  • Payments cost a flat 5 percent of the invoice including tax, in four countries only
  • No published pricing above 50 clients
  • The trial is 14 days against Hevy Coach's 30
Pros
  • Branded app included from Standard, with no extra fee listed
  • Meal plans and a MyFitnessPal macro integration, neither listed by Hevy Coach
  • Custom habits, progress pictures and body metrics built in

CoachRx: the same tier-by-client-count structure, with everything included

Cheapest paid plan
$29/mo (1 to 5 clients)
Clients included
5
Payments
Stripe plus a 2% platform fee
Branded app
Custom theming; no own store listing found
A 22 September 2026 capture of the CoachRx pricing page, monthly view.

CoachRx shares Hevy Coach's structure of one feature set that scales purely by client count, but where Hevy Coach centres on routines and progress tracking, CoachRx folds in programme design tools, a macro calculator, wearable syncing and custom theming from the very first tier.

The catch is price at scale: CoachRx's 6 to 50 client tier is $79/month against Hevy Coach's $90 for 26 to 50, but its 51 to 150 tier jumps to $199, well past Hevy Coach's $160 for 51 to 100. Custom theming covers colours, logo and splash screen inside the shared CoachRx app, and its official pages show no separate app store listing of your own. See CoachRx pricing for every band, or the CoachRx alternatives guide for the wider field.

Cons
  • The 51 to 150 client tier is $199/month, above Hevy Coach's equivalent band
  • No white-label store listing found on its official pages
  • Whether the trial needs a card is not stated
Pros
  • Every tier includes nutrition syncing, check-in templates and wearable data, none of which Hevy Coach lists
  • Custom theming (colours, logo, splash screen) included from the cheapest tier
  • Built-in Stripe payments and storefronts for selling to clients

Trainerize: a free entry tier and a mature meal planner

Cheapest plan
Free (Basic, 1 client)
Clients included
1
Payments
+$10/mo add-on (Stripe)
Branded app
$169 one-time, shared Apple listing on Pro
A 22 September 2026 capture of the Trainerize pricing page, monthly view.

Trainerize is the largest platform in this comparison by coach count. Its free Basic plan and $10/month Grow tier both undercut Hevy Coach's $25 entry price, though Grow caps out at 2 clients against Hevy Coach's 10. Its AI Workout Builder and Smart Meal Planner cover ground Hevy Coach's routine builder alone does not.

A branded app costs $169 one time on Pro, though it shares Trainerize's own Apple listing rather than standing fully alone; a fully independent listing on both stores needs Studio Plus at $275/month. Stripe payments cost an extra $10/month on Grow and Pro, on top of the plan price. Full tiers are in the Trainerize pricing breakdown, and the Trainerize alternatives guide covers the wider field.

Cons
  • Pro's per-seat pricing climbs to $250/month at 200 clients
  • Payments cost a $10/month add-on rather than being included
  • The $169 branded app still shares Trainerize's own Apple Store listing
Pros
  • A free Basic plan and $10/month Grow tier, both cheaper than Hevy Coach's entry price
  • Smart Meal Planner, food logging and MyFitnessPal sync
  • 400,000-plus coaches use the platform, the largest in this comparison

Everfit: free for the first 5 clients, then nutrition as you grow

Cheapest plan
Free (Starter, 5 clients)
Clients included
5
Payments
Add-on from $9/mo
Branded app
Enterprise only (500+ clients)
A 22 September 2026 capture of the Everfit pricing page, monthly view.

Everfit's Starter plan is free for up to 5 clients, a real alternative to paying $25/month on Hevy Coach's smallest tier for the same roster. Pro then adds a food journal, macro tracking and basic meal plans, and Everfit also offers check-in forms and questionnaires, none of which Hevy Coach lists.

A true white-label app needs an Enterprise quote with a 500-client minimum, a much higher bar than Kahunas's flat $99/month. Meal Plans and Recipe Books is an add-on from $39/month, and Payments and Packages is a further add-on from $9/month. See Everfit pricing for every step, Everfit vs Trainerize and Everfit vs TrueCoach for direct comparisons, or the wider Everfit alternatives list.

Cons
  • Meal Plans and Recipe Books is an add-on from $39/month
  • Payments is an add-on from $9/month
  • White label needs an Enterprise quote with a 500-client minimum
Pros
  • Free forever for up to 5 clients on Starter
  • Food journal, macro tracking and basic meal plans on Pro
  • 320,000-plus coaches use the platform

Kahunas: the fix for Hevy Coach's biggest gap, a branded app of your own

Cheapest plan
$35/mo (Essentials, 25 clients)
Clients included
25
Payments
Stripe/PayPal, no commission
Branded app
Ultimate only ($99/mo), own listings
A 22 September 2026 capture of the Kahunas pricing page, monthly view.

Kahunas Ultimate is $99/month for unlimited clients, and it includes your own branded iOS and Android apps with your own app store listings at no extra fee listed, which no Hevy Coach tier offers.

Every Kahunas tier, even Essentials at $35/month, includes custom check-in forms and habit tracking that Hevy Coach's official pages do not list; Hevy Coach offers progress pictures attached to measurements. Its trial is 14 days against Hevy Coach's 30, and it has no MyFitnessPal integration, per its own help centre. See Kahunas pricing, Kahunas vs Everfit, or the Kahunas alternatives guide.

Cons
  • The trial is 14 days, less than half of Hevy Coach's 30
  • No MyFitnessPal integration, per its own help centre
  • Own branded apps still need the coach's own Apple and Google developer accounts
Pros
  • Ultimate bundles unlimited clients and a fully own-branded app for one flat $99/month
  • Custom check-in forms and habit tracking on every tier
  • Stripe and PayPal with no platform commission stated

Scraler: workouts, nutrition, check-ins and payments in one app

Cheapest plan
$49/mo (Plus)
Clients included
50 active
Payments
Stripe, from Premium ($69/mo)
Branded app
Ultimate only, from $109/mo

Scraler's Plus plan covers workout planning, a meal plan builder, nutrition tracking, check-ins, habits and chat from $49/month for up to 50 active clients, with archived clients excluded from that cap.

Premium adds Stripe client payments, AI generation and community at $69/month for 100 clients. Ultimate starts at $109/month for 100 clients and scales through $199, $299, $399 and $499 up to 500, adding a white-label app (iOS under the trainer's own Apple Developer account, Android under Scraler's own Google Play account at no cost to the trainer), custom domain and studio management.

Cons
  • The white-label app is Ultimate-only, a higher bar than Kahunas's single flat plan
  • The trial needs a card, unlike Hevy Coach's no-card 30 days
  • Newer and smaller than Trainerize
Pros
  • Nutrition, check-ins, habits and chat included from the entry plan, none listed by Hevy Coach
  • Client payments built in through Stripe from Premium
  • Archived clients do not count against the plan cap

How do you migrate off Hevy Coach?

Before you cancel, note each client's current programme, recent progress and contact details, since the Hevy Coach pages we checked do not describe a client export. Clients log workouts in the separate consumer Hevy app, so tell them which app they will use next before the switch.

Scraler's switch page names Hevy Coach directly and rebuilds clients, workouts and meal plans from an export, free of charge. If you are still deciding, the Hevy Coach pricing breakdown and the online coaching platforms cost comparison and the best apps for personal trainers roundup cover the same ground from a different angle.

Try Scraler as your next coaching app

Workouts, nutrition, check-ins, messaging and progress in one client app, with payments from Premium and a white-label app on Ultimate. Fourteen days free, card on file, nothing charged unless you stay past the trial.
