Best Coaching Apps for Fitness and Health Coaches

The best coaching apps are the ones that cover your type of coaching at a price you can carry. Entry plans start at $10 a month, but those cap you at 2 to 10 clients. For a coach with 50 clients, we found prices from $39 to $164.98 a month. Fitness, health and nutrition coaches need different things.

Best coaching apps compared by monthly price for 50 clients: Scraler Plus $49, HubFit Standard $39, Everfit Pro $95, TrueCoach Pro $164.98
In short
  • Cheapest paid plans start at $10 to $49 a month, but most include only 2 to 10 clients.
  • For about 50 clients, the plans we checked cost $39 to $164.98 a month.
  • Fitness coaches want a workout builder, nutrition coaches want meal plans, and health coaches want forms, notes and billing. Few apps do all three well.
  • Payments, your own branded app and AI are often add-ons or sit on higher plans. Check where each one starts.
  • Pick on total cost at your client count, not on the entry price.

This guide is for coaches who want one app to deliver the coaching: fitness, nutrition, habits or general health. We read every price on the vendor's own pricing page on 7 October 2026. Plans change often, so check the page before you buy. If you want a guide aimed purely at trainers, see best apps for personal trainers, and for a wider look at software categories see online coaching platforms. For what the software side should do, see our pillar guide to personal trainer software. Nutrition-only practices are covered in best apps for nutritionists.

What are the best coaching apps for fitness and health coaches?

There is no single winner, because coaches sell different things. A strength coach needs a workout builder and exercise videos. A nutrition coach needs meal plans, macros and a food diary. A health coach needs intake forms, notes and billing. A coaching app should cover your core job, bill your clients and look like your brand. Everything else is nice to have.

How much does a coaching app cost?

Most coaching apps charge a monthly fee that rises with your client count. The cheapest paid plan on each pricing page ranges from $10 to $49 a month, but the cheap plans cap you hard.

What does a coaching app cost at 50 clients?

Entry prices flatter the small plans. A coach with 50 paying clients is the better test, because that is where per-client charges and plan jumps show up. Here is what we found for roughly 50 clients, monthly:

Monthly price for a roster of about 50 clients. FitBudd is a worked example on its Pro plan.
  • HubFit Standard: $39 for up to 50 clients.
  • Scraler Plus: $49 for 50 clients.
  • My PT Hub Premium: $59, unlimited clients. The first two months are $29.50.
  • CoachRx: $79 for 6 to 50 clients.
  • Everfit Pro: $95 for 50 clients billed monthly, $79 billed annually.
  • FitBudd Pro: worked example, $79 for 20 clients plus $2 for each of 30 more is $139.
  • TrueCoach Pro: $164.98 for up to 50 clients billed monthly, $136.99 billed annually.

Work out your own number with the coaching software cost calculator. Remember the extras. Payments are an add-on on Trainerize and Everfit (Everfit's starts at $9 a month), and a branded app is another add-on: $95 one time at My PT Hub, $189 a month at HubFit, or the Super Pro plan at FitBudd ($149 for 20 clients, plus $2 per extra client and a $75 setup fee). Our HubFit alternatives guide prices that platform from 50 to 500 clients.

What does each coaching app include?

Here is what each vendor lists on its pricing page. "Add-on" means you pay extra. "Some plans" means only on higher tiers. "No" means not listed there.

What each coaching app lists on its pricing page. Checked 7 October 2026.
  • Payments: TrueCoach lists automated Stripe payments on every plan. My PT Hub includes payment processing from Starter. Trainerize and Everfit charge for it as an add-on.
  • Your own app: TrueCoach lists a custom-branded app from Standard at $69.98 a month ($57.99 billed annually). My PT Hub has it as a $95 one-time add-on. The white label fitness app guide covers the store listing in detail.
  • Nutrition: Trainerize lists meal and macro tracking from Grow. Everfit sells meal plans as an add-on from $39. Our nutrition coaching software guide goes deeper.

Is an AI coaching app worth paying for?

AI now shows up on most pricing pages, and it ranges from useful to filler. What we found listed: Trainerize has an AI Workout Builder from its $10 Grow plan. Everfit lists an AI Workout Builder and AI-drafted message replies. PT Distinction lists an AI program builder, an AI meal planner and an AI assistant from its Basic plan. My PT Hub and HubFit put AI on higher plans. Practice Better lists AI session prep.

Use AI to draft, never to decide. A generated programme or meal plan saves the first hour, and your review is what the client pays for. Scraler has AI programme and meal generation on the Premium plan at $69 a month.

Training, nutrition, check-ins and payments in one app

Scraler combines a workout builder, meal plans, check-ins, chat and Stripe payments with your own branding. Plus is $49 a month for 50 clients.

How do you choose a coaching app?

  1. 1.Count your clients. Use today's number and the number you want in 12 months.
  2. 2.Price that roster. Look at the total at your client count, not the entry price.
  3. 3.List what you sell. Training plans, meal plans, check-ins, packages. Check each one is in the plan you will buy.
  4. 4.Check payments. Find out if billing is included or an add-on, and what the card fee is.
  5. 5.Look at the client app. Open it as a client would. If it is slow or cluttered, clients will not use it.
  6. 6.Test the move. Run a free trial with a real client before you move your whole roster.

Most apps offer a free trial. Use it with real clients, not dummy data, and ask how you export your data if you leave.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best coaching app?
It depends on what you coach. Fitness coaches need a workout builder, nutrition coaches need meal plans and macros, health coaches need forms and billing. Compare total cost at your client count and check payments and a branded app are included.
What is the cheapest coaching app?
On the pricing pages we read, Trainerize Grow is $10 a month for 2 clients and FitBudd Starter is $15 for 2 clients. Practice Better and Trainerize also have free plans with 1 to 3 clients. Cheap plans cap your client count.
What is the best health coaching app?
Practice Better is built for health practitioners and lists forms, billing and a client portal from $35 a month, with a free plan for 3 clients. It lists no workout builder, so fitness-led coaches usually pick a training app.
Are there free coaching apps?
There are free plans, but they are small. Trainerize Basic is free for 1 client and Practice Better Sprout is free for 3 clients. Plan on paying once you have paying clients.
Can I use an AI coaching app instead of coaching clients myself?
AI works as an assistant. It can draft programmes, meal plans and replies, but clients pay for your review and accountability. Use it to save time and check every output.
