Why look past TeamUp on price at all
TeamUp's pricing page genuinely does have a full ladder behind it: $119 a month under 100 active customers, $189 at 101 to 200, $219 at 201 to 300, $249 at 301 to 400, $289 at 401 to 500, and $379 at 501 plus. That puts it ahead of Mindbody or Glofox on paper. The catch is that the figure ships as an interactive slider rather than plain page content, so only the 101 to 200 default renders without you moving it, and a currency picker defaulting to EUR from the EU can put the wrong number in front of a US reader entirely.
What TeamUp does publish plainly: no setup fee, no long term contract, and point of sale and access control listed on the plan itself rather than as add-ons. A custom branded app is a separate $99 a month on top. Our gym software cost calculator lines up what all eight vendors in this category publish at your own member count.
Mindbody: the TeamUp vs Mindbody question
- Starter
- $79/month per location, published on a pricing explainer, not the pricing page
- Accelerate / Ultimate
- Not published, "Let's talk" button only
- Member or location limits
- Not published for Starter
- Best for
- Large multi-location gyms and franchises
Mindbody's own pricing page names Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate and shows "Let's talk" on all three, though the $79 Starter figure does appear on a separate explainer article. Bookings through the Mindbody consumer app carry a 20 percent referral commission, capped at $30. It suits a business already sized for a big, well-known brand more than one wanting a published number upfront. See Mindbody alternatives for more.
Glofox
- Price
- Not published at any size
- Plans
- Essential, Boost and Elite, compared on features only
- Pricing page
- A three-step form: business type, locations, contact details
- Best for
- Larger gyms and franchises wanting a branded app
Glofox's pricing page carries no figure in any currency, before or after its business type and location form. It is the least transparent vendor in this comparison, TeamUp's worst bracket is still a real number, Glofox has none at all. More at Glofox alternatives.
Zen Planner
- Studio
- $99/month up to 45 active members, rising to $289 at 251 plus
- Essentials / Ultimate
- Studio price plus $99 or plus $249 at every band
- Add-ons
- Branded app $39/month, card readers $39/month
- Best for
- CrossFit boxes and martial arts schools
Zen Planner publishes its entire member-band ladder on a dedicated active member tiers page, all eight steps, from $99 up to 45 members to $289 at 251 and above. Its branded app add-on is $39 a month, well under TeamUp's $99. The FAQ says there is no setup fee with select preferred payment processors, and no annual price or toggle appears anywhere on the page. See Zen Planner alternatives for more.
Gymdesk
- Micro / Small / Medium / Large Gym
- $75 (up to 50), $100 (51-100), $150 (101-200), $200 (201-400)
- Enterprise
- 400+ members, price not published
- Setup fee
- $0, stated on the page
- Best for
- Small to mid-size gyms wanting clear pricing
Gymdesk is the most transparent vendor in this whole category: every step renders on page load, no slider and no form. Door access is a published $100 a month add-on for up to three doors, plus $29 a month per extra door, and a branded app add-on is $100 a month with the first month free. At the 101 to 200 bracket where TeamUp charges $189, Gymdesk is $150. More at Gymdesk alternatives.
Wodify
- Essentials
- $99/month per location, offer price against a struck-through $199
- Accelerate / Ultimate
- Not published, "Get Started" button only
- Processing
- Card as low as 2.6% + $0.25
- Best for
- Functional fitness gyms wanting performance tracking
Wodify's $99 a month Essentials figure is a promotional cut from $199, tied to a book-a-demo deadline, and priced per location rather than by member count the way TeamUp is. Accelerate and Ultimate show no figure at all, just a "Get Started" button. See Wodify alternatives for more.
PushPress
- Free / Pro / Max
- $0, $159, $229 per month
- Limits
- Unlimited members on every tier, including Free
- Processing (Free to Max)
- 4.99% + $0.30 card down to 2.75% + $0.30 card
- Best for
- Small gyms wanting to start free
PushPress is the only vendor here with a genuinely free plan rather than a trial, at the cost of the highest card processing rate of the three tiers. Because every tier is flat and unlimited, it does not compete on TeamUp's own ground of pricing by active customer count, it is a different bet: pay in card fees instead of a rising monthly figure as a roster grows.
Scraler
- Plus
- $49/month, 50 clients, builders and a branded subdomain
- Premium
- $69/month, 100 clients, adds AI generation, community, landing page builder
- Ultimate
- From $109/month at 100 clients, $199 to $499 from 200 to 500, adds white-label app, custom domain and email, automations, studio and team management
- Trial
- 14 days on every plan, card required, not charged until the trial ends
Scraler is not a gym management system, and it is worth being direct about that. There is no access control, membership cards, kiosk check-in, turnstiles or point-of-sale, the things TeamUp lists on its single plan. What Scraler has is studio and staff management, multiple locations, classes with a set capacity and public booking, Stripe payments, and a white-label app on Ultimate. That fits a coaching-led studio running programming and client relationships, not a facility managing who walks through its door. For that job, see the gym management software guide instead.
Where a gym management system beats Scraler
- Access control, membership cards or turnstile entry, all listed on TeamUp's single plan, none of which Scraler has
- A front-desk point-of-sale for retail and walk-in payments
- Kiosk check-in for a facility with drop-in traffic
- AI-assisted workout and nutrition programming on Premium and above
- Public class booking with capacity built into the same platform as coaching
- A white-label app on Ultimate: iOS under the studio's own Apple Developer account ($99 a year to Apple), Android published through Scraler's Google Play account
A studio with no doors to badge through and no counter to staff fits Scraler's list. A facility that needs to control building entry or ring up retail wants a vendor built for that: TeamUp lists point of sale and access control on its plan, and Gymdesk sells door access as a $100 a month add-on.
Plus is $49/month for 50 clients, Premium is $69/month for 100. Fourteen days free to test it, a card on file from the start, nothing charged unless the account is still open when the trial ends.
