AI connector (MCP)
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot to your Scraler account and ask about your clients in plain language. The AI app reads your coaching data to answer you, and if you allow it, it can also build and edit templates, assign them to clients or delete them for you.
Available on the Ultimate plan. Only the account owner can connect apps; studio team members cannot yet.
Connect in two minutes
- 1
Copy your connector URL
In Scraler, go to Settings, AI connections and copy the URL. It is the same for every trainer.
- 2
Add it in your AI app
Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. ChatGPT: Settings, Apps & Connectors, turn on Developer mode, then Create. Copilot Studio: add an MCP server tool and choose OAuth with dynamic discovery. Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http scraler followed by the URL.
- 3
Sign in and allow access
Your AI app opens Scraler. Sign in, check what the app will be able to read, and click Allow. You can revoke it at any time.
https://app.scraler.com/api/mcpWhich apps work
- Claude
- Web, desktop and mobile app (connectors need a paid Claude plan).
- ChatGPT
- Web and desktop, through custom connectors in Developer mode.
- Microsoft Copilot
- Agents built in Copilot Studio, as an MCP server tool.
- Developer tools
- Apps that run on your own computer, such as Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Gemini CLI.
Not supported yet: the Gemini app and Gemini Enterprise, the consumer Copilot app, Perplexity and other apps. Scraler only lets known AI apps connect, to keep your data safe.
What it can read
- Clients
- Your client list, profiles, goals, body stats and training programs.
- Check-ins
- Submitted check-ins with each answer, and progress measurements. Photos show as a marker only.
- Workouts
- Logged sessions, with the exercises and sets of a session.
- Nutrition
- Food logs with calories and macros per day, up to 31 days per question.
- Schedule
- Your appointments and group events, in your own timezone.
- Exercises
- Your own exercises and the Scraler exercise library.
It never sends chat messages, sees chats, card details, client email addresses, medical notes or your private trainer notes, only sees your finances if you allow that, and it never changes your clients' logged workouts, check-in answers or messages.
Let it do more
When you connect, you choose what else the app may do. Each permission is a separate checkbox, all off until you tick them, and Scraler checks them again on every action. Your AI app reads your material itself (a PDF, a spreadsheet, a pasted program) and saves it straight into Scraler.
- Create and edit
- Training plans, workouts, check-ins, meal plans, recipes, cookbooks, exercises, habits, automations, products, subscription plans, On-Demand collections and your custom app draft. Add and edit clients, their notes, tags, macro targets and progress, and add files to your vault (3 MB each, 20 uploads an hour). Everything new stays switched off or unpublished until you switch it on.
- Act for your clients
- Assign plans, workouts, meal plans, check-ins and habits (also as a timed challenge), change or remove what a client already has, invite new clients, reply to check-ins, send progress reports, book, move or cancel appointments, and offer products that clients pay for themselves. Up to 10 clients at a time, and they get a notification.
- Delete
- Remove templates, automations, habits and products you no longer need, and delete a client after you confirm their name (archiving is usually better). Anything still in use is never deleted.
- Read finances
- Ask about revenue, MRR, new and cancelled subscriptions, open payment requests, sales and which clients have paid. Read only: it can never charge, refund or change a price, and never sees card details.
Your AI app asks you before it changes, assigns or deletes anything. It never charges a client, never publishes anything and never switches an automation on: you do that in Scraler.
What you can ask
Ask the way you would ask an assistant. The AI app picks the right data itself.
How your data stays safe
- Your approval
- Nothing is shared until you sign in and click Allow, and the app can only do what you ticked. Every connection asks again.
- Separate key
- The AI app gets its own access key that only works for the connector. It never gets your Scraler login.
- Two-factor
- If you use two-factor login, you approve the connection after entering your code.
- Revoke anytime
- Settings, AI connections lists every connected app. Revoke cuts access immediately.
- Activity log
- Each time an app reads or changes data it is logged and shown in Settings for 90 days.
- Your clients only
- The connector can only ever read your own account's data, and is limited to 60 requests per minute.
Privacy and your clients
When you ask about a client, the data the AI app reads is sent to that app's provider, such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Microsoft. You decide to connect, so you are responsible for how client data is used there.
- Use a business plan of your AI app with model training turned off. Consumer plans may use your data to train AI models.
- Make sure your clients have agreed. Health and fitness data needs their explicit consent.
- Tell your clients in your privacy notice. Settings, AI connections has a ready-made text you can copy.
The full rules are in section 12 of our Terms of Service.
Tips
- Use first and last names. If two clients share a name, the AI app asks which one you mean.
- For long periods, ask per month. Nutrition logs are read 31 days at a time.
- Answers come from the AI app, not from Scraler. Check anything important before you act on it.
- Revoke apps you no longer use in Settings, AI connections.
